So, as some of you know… the weekly singer/songwriter showcase I started back in November went so well that we’ll be continuing it on further, as I hoped.
In the few weeks that The Hum House has been running, I have already met a lot of great artists that have graced the venue. We’re just trying to do our best to spread the word about the show. Every Wednesday night from 7:30pm-10:00pm at Sipology Temple in Long Beach.
The show is always free, always all ages, and always full of original music from talented and honest songwriters.
I play a set each night, along with two other artists. (different each week)
I speak for myself as well as the staff at Sipology when I say we are looking forward to the new year.
My new show I’ll be hosting at SIPOLOGY (Temple) in Long Beach!
Every Wednesday night in November we’ll be featuring different songwriters. (and myself, of course)
I’m excited to start something new in the city I love, to showcase some really great talent. I want these artist’s songs to get out into the air of Long Beach.
And also I’m looking forward to having an outlet where I can try out my own new material each week.
Every Wednesday this November in Long Beach at SIPOLOGY CAFE & GALLERY, (On Temple & Broadway-
2771 East Broadway, Long Beach)
I’ll be hosting the new songwriter showcase: THE HUM HOUSE.
I’m really excited about this weekly acoustic show. It will boast 3 or 4 great songwriters each week, and our goal is to start something new and buzz-worthy. (forgive the 90’s MTV lingo)
Right here in Long Beach.
Stay tuned for details and artist line ups!

I’ve always had the opinion that pretty girls don’t live in the same “real” world as the rest of us normal people. There is definitely a level of special treatment and opportunity there. But hey, if I was a pretty girl, I’d take full advantage too. Today as I watched some young new movie starlet interviewed on Jimmy Falon, I had a minor epiphany.
Everyone, especially guys, treat pretty girls with much more respect and care than they would anyone else. Of course, it’s proper etiquette to treat women specially… But beauty is always rewarded & given preference.
This special treatment keeps pretty girls less jaded & bitter toward the cruel “real world”, because it’s not as cruel to them!
BUT, consequently, when we are around these pretty girls, they exude their untainted charm, positivity, and optimism, and it makes the environment so much more pleasant.
Welcome to the latest update of my website. I’m doin this crap myself, so please enjoy the low-budge.
Poke around a bit! New photo section tab, and fun for the whole family. Unless of course your family has a life, in which case, don’t waste their time. But YOU… I know you have some time to kill.
Not words that you see used in the same sentence very often. “Free & All Ages” & “Hollywood”. You read it right… I’ll be playing at THE RENAISSANCE HOTEL in Hollywood this thursday night from 7:30-9:30, and it’s Free and All Ages!
Sound like a party?? Well… it is.
Even though they spelled my name wrong.
Hope to see you out there. I’ll be on the stage right there in the lobby when you walk in next to to the cool bar and shwanky tables.
shwanky- very fancy, posh, or trendy
(thank you Urban Dictionary)
I’ve been writing a lot of new music that I’ll be trying out. Come hang with us!

Just got home from the tour with Jadon Lavik. Playing guitar and backing up Jadon is something I love. We were in a van on the road with two other artists opening up the show: Lara Landon, & Brian Weaver. (pic above. Oh, & of course my new friend Tyler from Oregon who was also in the van with us helping us make it all happen)
I made some great new friends, and saw some new places. 10 shows in 11 days. From Arizona to Florida. Wow.
So obviously I’m tired & I have some laundry to do.
I’m leaving this week until the end of September on a tour with a great acoustic pop-rock artist named Jadon Lavik.
I’ve been backing up Jadon live now for a good number of years… playing guitars, bgvs, playing on his latest few albums, even co-producing the acoustic album “The Road” last year with him.
Jadon is a great guy & friend, and he is a truly talented singer/songwriter.
We’ll be doing our acoustic duo thang through the bible-belt of the US.
Chek him out if you don’t know already.
On the heels of my show last night at ROOM 5, I was once again reminded of one of my favorite things about being a musician:
All the people you meet.
After the show last night, me and my “entourage” (as my new friend Tim put it) went out to 8oz Burger Bar on Melrose to have some late night food and drinks. I was telling Tim that in my opinion one of the best things about playing music is all the different people you end up meeting. Whether you’re touring around the country, or playing around town, you are constantly put into new places, and subsequently meet all different sort of people.
I’ve actually gotten to the point that almost all my close friends are either musicians that I’ve played with, have met playing, or good people I’ve run into while out playing somewhere.
Music has brought me so much in my life. Expression, release, the euphoric joy of being in a groove on stage with other players, the sense of pride and satisfaction from creating songs and recordings… etc,
but the older I get the more I realize that the most important thing music brings is a common bond with others that leads to love and friendship in people you otherwise would never have even met.
