Anyone who creates something is subject to critics. Being critiqued for what you do can be annoying, unwanted, and painful. There is no stopping it, but all I can say is “don’t let em get to you”.

Many writers that I look up to have written songs about their fathers. So this is my song about my troubled relationship with my own father, and how at some point in growing up I realized that even though we never saw eye-to-eye, he is and was an amazing man. And instead of having a chip on my shoulder and whining about the negatives, I decided to work at the relationship.

When you do wrong by a woman… she leaves. That doesn’t mean you want to let her.
“She Deserves To Be Happy”
If you’ve ever loved someone, but known you weren’t right for that person… you may have almost written this song yourself. The painful honesty of, “she deserves to be happy, but I just can’t do it…”
“Better This Time”
People can change… but not really. This song is about having a second chance at a failed relationship, and thinking you’ll be different and better the next time around.
